INDICATIONS:

Vonoprazan is a medication used for the treatment of certain gastrointestinal conditions. Its primary indication is the management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and the healing of erosive esophagitis, a condition characterized by inflammation and damage to the esophagus caused by stomach acid. Vonoprazan is a potassium-competitive acid blocker (P-CAB) that inhibits gastric acid secretion by targeting the proton pump in the stomach lining. It is also used for the prevention of stomach ulcers associated with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) use in certain patients. As with any medication, it should be used under the supervision of a healthcare professional, and patients should be aware of potential side effects and follow prescribed guidelines.
